So this is a tagging game, it's the same as the 'Art Appreciation' game. It's been a little over a year since I played this. And since a year is a lot of time for improvement in the art world, I figured now was a good time to bring it around again.
Once Tagged, you choose 3-5 of your fellow Deviant friends to play the game on. You'll go to each of their galleries, and choose 3 of their pieces that you would consider your favorites. Once you have them, post them in your journal, and give a reason under each as to why you like it.
Once you do this, tag 3-5 other people and pass the game along. Get it? Good! Now lets play.
(Still don't get it? Use mine for an example!)
ROGUE:
So, Rogue is my twin sister. :3
We create a lot of stories together, and pretty much drive each other on a daily basis! The only reason I even draw, and write stories like i do is all thanks to this Bitch here.
1.Modest Vanity

So, first off... It's amazing she can even color this well on sketch paper, Rogue. Oh My God. D:
Whenever I look at this picture, I see new details I missed before. It's simply amazing. Very much so befitting a Fashionista like Nadel. ;'D
It's hard to decide which part of this piece is my favorite. I absolutely adore his multicolored, 'gayass' wing. XD
Rogue really has a way of finding the right shades, and colors that go together well without looking overboard, and this is a perfect example! He's wearing... what? 8 different colors, and yet they all go together well!
I think my favorite part to this piece has to be his eyes though. They look like Emeralds. I just love Nadel, so precious.~
2. Solitary Beauty
[link]
Yet again, how do you color like this on sketch paper, Rogue? D: LOL
I flippin' love Acedia's expression in this piece. I fuckin' love you, man!
Anyway... I feel as though this piece expresses more than just what meets the eye. You really would have to have read Rogue's -awesome- story, YOMI -Fall for an Eternity- to understand everything about this piece.
First of all, I feel as though the cheerful background behind her represents those who are happy, and free loving around her Yet there is Acedia... sorta just floating along. XD (This makes her expression priceless to me.)
Back to the picture itself... I want her kimono! D:
Autumn colors are just gorgeous on Acedia, and really make her ocean-colored hair pop! I'm not sure if you planned that, but amazing job.~
3. All That I Have.
[link]
Even though this piece, by looking at it, is absolutely adorable... like many of Rogue's pieces/characters/stories there is always an underlying tragedy.
I believe the title itself brings the true meaning of this piece to life.
"All that I have." The woman in this piece, Amorette lost her Husband when Lovette, her daughter was born. She was left with her last true friend. King Gerard Tonnere, however when the children were adolescents, Gerard went missing from his Kingdom, and never returned.
The country was thrown into war, and the children she cared for so much torn from their childhood to Lead a war torn country.
All in all, Amorette is just a tragic woman, and you really feel for the character as she holds on so tightly to the last living loves in her life.
STUDIO-GEMBLEE:
I've been watching Gem for a little over a year now, and I have to say... all I ever see from her is improvement. Her art is amazingly detailed, and unique.
1.Dyson
[link]
My God woman! D: I so envy how well you draw biceps, and abs. LOL!
Well, first things first, I faukin' love Dyson, he's a bad ass. XD
This picture really does justice to him. I love how you colored his hair in this picture. Did you use colored pencils?
Amazing.~ (Now I want to see you draw Xan! XD)
2.Dante Devil may cry
[link]
OMG I want to steal your gun drawing skills! D:
I love how you colored this piece, from the gun, to his jacket. Everything just looks so crisp, and perfect.
Whenever I think of Dante, I think of how he's a cocky Bastard, but this picture really reminds you he is also an Angsty Bombshell.~ ;3
3 . Peroneous Canvas
[link]
Yet again, can I say I envy your gun drawing skills? D: *dies*
Well this piece just makes me want to whip out a canvas, and start making magic! I love the composition of this piece, and how she's being coiled by the dragon.
Another thing to honor: Most people tend to say they are either good at drawing people, or animals... not usually both.
However, I am always impressed by Gem's art, whether its a person, animal, or mythical creature! lol
DARGON:
I've watched Dargon almost since I joined dA! I adore his art, and he's a great person. :3
Also, a fellow Hellsing/SDK fan!
1. I want it right NOW
[link]
Everything about this piece is great to me. Placing the characters to the far left gave the attention of the viewers to the girl in this picture. I also adore how well he colored her hair. I envy skills like that! XD
And, well... I'm sure you all know I'm a sucker for bloody men. ;D
2. Chicago by night. COMPLETE
[link]
Okay, what to say about this piece?
The perspective is amazing! D:
I always want to draw pictures like this, but I'm intimidated about placement, and perspective, but he nailed it perfectly. You get a direct straight on view to the characters, and also a bird's eye view on Chicago down below. I also love the cloudy sky. :3
3.V-ZeitGeist Chien Dark
[link]
I just love all the effects to this piece! Even though we have the large glowing spheres of energy around Vladimir, I still feel drawn to his narrow, glowing eye. It's a focal point, and really sets the mood. I also envy how he can draw a night scene! I'm still a novice to night scenes. D:
I Tag whoever wants to do this!
Especially
lol
